For the next article, I was thinking of sharing my favourite hairstyles to do. I usually try these myself whenever I am going somewhere and some of these hairstyles that I want to try myself....The best part is that all of these are really easy to make and they usually don't take much of your time. Easy for people like me who don't know various and difficult hairstyles...So here they are...
1. MESSY BUN
Messy bun is really common these days and its also a very simple and pretty hair do but it also requires much effort because as much as it seems effortless, it is not. Unfortunately, our struggle to master the perfect "I-woke-up-like-this" messy bun has also required a massive amount of effort (and many lost minutes). Usually, it’s either too messy and deflated or too ballerina-tight, or just wrong all together....but now there is a way that we can all master this perfect messy bun hairstyle in just three steps.
STEP #1
First, flip your head upside down and pull your hair into a loose ponytail, as high or as low as you’d like it. Don’t use a comb or worry about your strands being perfectly slicked back — some bumps are ok.
STEP #2
Twist the hair, and spin it around the base of the ponytail, continuing to wrap below the bun. Be sure to leave the tail out at the end.
STEP #3
Secure it with a hair elastic and bobby pins.
QUICK TIP:
One of our favorite things about messy buns is they work well on dirty hair, but if your hair is clean and you want to pull off the look, spray your hair with dry shampoo or texturizing spray to add some texture and grip. To make your messy bun look even more, well, messy, pull on the sections and the pieces of hair that frame your face. Also we can wear it throughout the day but only redo it if it’s really drooping; otherwise, go with it. And there you have it — effortless style that’s actually easy to achieve.
2. WATERFALL BRAID
The waterfall braid is one of the most gorgeous hairstyles ever. Most of your hair is left loose, and you can show off your shiny and long locks (if you have Rapunzel-like hair!) or go the punk way (if you like your braid messy) with equal elan. This princessy braid emits a romantic aura and makes you look extremely feminine. I am sure you all can easily try it at home.
STEP #1
First, work a mousse or styling gel into dry strands to help hold the braid you’re about to create. (If you just showered, make sure your hair is fully dry before beginning.) Part your hair, then take a section of hair on the heavier side of the part and spray it with hairspray, says Norton. You won’t have to spray the other side of the part since this hair will simply sit naturally. “Adding the hairspray to the side you’re braiding helps give the hair some added grip and control while you style and is the most important part of this making it easy to do at home.”
STEP #2
Next, divide the section of hair on the heavy side of the part into three smaller 1-inch sections as if you were starting a regular braid. Start the braid by crossing the strand closest to your part over the middle strand, and then crossing the bottom strand over the middle strand.
STEP #3
Continue crossing, now with the top strand over the new middle strand, but this time, instead of crossing the top strand over the middle strand, drop the middle strand down (like a waterfall) so that it blends in with the rest of your unbraided hair.
STEP #4
Now, when you go to take your next piece, take it from closer to your part. This strand will replace the strand you dropped and become your new top section. Cross this piece over the middle and continue the braiding pattern.
STEP #5
Now, cross the back strand over and bring in hair per usual. The next cross-over, drop the front strand, instead bringing in a replacement strand. Continue braiding in this fashion until the braid reaches the back of the head.
STEP #6
Continue braiding the three strands down into a regular braid and pin it against the head. Lay hair over the top of the pin to hide it and then spray the midshaft and ends with more hairspray for a more modern look and feel.
It's all done now. This casual elegant hairstyle is suitable for most events..simple yet classy.
3. PONYTAIL WITH A PUFF HAIRSTYLE
Ponytails are a chic way of keeping the style trimmed and pretty. This hairdo is the most sought after as it enhances the personality and gives a fresher younger feel to the wearer. Sporting your hair pulled back into a pony has always been feminine and classy. Ponytails are actually kind of my thing..
STEP #1
Comb your full hair backwards.
STEP #2
Take the front section at the top of the head and comb it backwards to fluff it up. Use some hair spray to hold the puffed up look.
STEP #3
Apply some gel to get hold of each strand of hair from the sides and to tame down the puffed look a bit.
STEP #4
Tie a high pony and secure with elastic band.
And you're done. So its that easy and it doesn't really take much time. You can do this look whenever you're going somewhere like a party evening or wherever you want to. Also if you have mid length hair, then this one is a good hairstyle with a retro touch.
4. MESSY HALF TOP KNOT
This one is really cool and pretty hairstyle for long and for short hair. Really easy too.
STEP #1
Backcomb the hair at the crown of your head.
STEP #2
Start teasing your hair from the top and move down.
STEP #3
Comb the top of the teased hair to make it look neat.
STEP #4
If you want to jazz it up a bit more, weave the lifted hair into a super loose French braid.
STEP #5
Once you reach the crown, tie the rest of the hair from the section into a top knot. Secure it in place with an elastic band and bobby pins.
STEP #6
Pancake the knot to make it look messy, and spritz on some hairspray to secure it in place.
It's a fun and chic hairstyle and very easy so I do it myself too.
5. Easy Braided Ponytail
So this hairstyle is perfect for a day filled with classes, this ponytail wrapped with a braid is chic, simple, and takes less than 5 minutes to do! Honestly, what more could you ask for from a hairstyle?
STEP #1
Prep your washed, dried hair with some smoothening serum.
STEP #2
Part your hair deeply on one side.
STEP #3
Leaving out your bangs, pick up a big chunk of hair from the front from the side of the parting with more hair.
STEP #4
Do a simple 3 strand braid with this section and secure it at the end with a hair elastic.
STEP #5
Gather all your hair (including the braid) into a mid-level ponytail at the back of your head and secure it with a hair elastic.
STEP #6
Remove the hair elastic at the end of your braid and unravel your braid.
STEP #7
Pick up a thin section of hair and wrap it around the base of your ponytail to conceal the hair elastic.
STEP #8
Secure this thin section of hair with a bobby pin under your ponytail to finish off the look.
This look is pretty much elegant, classy and pretty. But no very complicated. You can do it yourself.
So that were my favourite hairstyles which are super easy in my opinion. Let me know if you've tried out these hairstyles or any of them . Or you can tell me what your favourite hairstyles are in the comment below........
